Executive Team Biographies
JOHN K. Coors
Dr. John Coors has served as Director and Chairman of the Board since January 2000.
John began as the President of the company from October 1998 to February 2016. During his tenure, the company has grown to become the world’s largest engineered ceramics manufacturer — serving more than 10,000 customers worldwide.
John began his career with Coors Brewing Company in 1979, holding a variety of R&D, engineering, human resources, project management, and plant manager roles — ultimately serving as Vice President of Global Brewing Operations until he departed the company in 1992.
He then ventured into the emerging solar industry as President of Golden Photon, a developer and manufacturer of photovoltaic solar modules. He became CEO of Golden Genesis Company, an integrator of remote solar power systems — growing the company from a small start-up to the largest public solar electric integrator in the country before selling the business in 1998.
Dr. Coors holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Texas and a Doctorate in Engineering from the Technical University of Munich.
He currently serves as a member of the Colorado School of Mines Foundation Board of Governors. Dr. Coors is also a founding member of One Thousand & One Voices, a private capital fund focused on Sub-Saharan Africa. John and his wife Sharna have ten children, including six adopted children of diverse nationalities. Five of their children currently work at CoorsTek.
Jonathan Coors is the Co-Chief Executive Officer of CoorsTek Inc. and Chief Executive Officer of CoorsTek Medical.
Jonathan began his career with CoorsTek in 1999. He has served in a variety of roles including sales, marketing, operations, as well as government affairs. Jonathan has also held multiple leadership roles in several CoorsTek divisions including CoorsTek Armor Solutions.
Jonathan expanded his role within the enterprise becoming CEO of the Medical and Semiconductors Group for CoorsTek. In February, 2016, he was again promoted becoming a Co-CEO of CoorsTek Inc.
Jonathan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Pepperdine University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Denver. He and his wife Erin live in Denver, Colorado with their four children.
Michael Coors is the Co-Chief Executive Officer of CoorsTek, and Chief Executive Officer of Outlast Technologies. He currently serves as a manager of 9th Street Investments, a Board Member at Schulze Global Investments, and is on the Board of Directors at Lightning Hybrids, a hydraulic hybrid vehicle company.
Prior to joining CoorsTek, Michael was President at a startup ski area in the Colorado Front Range. He joined CoorsTek in 2008 as an R&D Project Manager working on ion-transport membranes and systems, and various technology, operations, and management roles in the company. In 2012 he became CEO of Outlast Technologies, an advanced materials company. In February 2016 Michael was promoted to Co-CEO of CoorsTek, Inc.
Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines. He and his wife Charity reside with their three children in Denver, Colorado.
Timothy Coors is the Co-Chief Executive Officer of CoorsTek, and Chief Executive Officer of CoorsTek Sensors. Timothy also serves on the Board of Directors of Fiskeby.
Joining CoorsTek in 2001 as a Research Engineer in protonic ceramic fuel cells, Timothy has served in a variety of production, quality, and project management roles including plant manager and general manager. He is a Six Sigma Black Belt, successfully leading continuous improvement during his tenure at six plants across the United States and Europe. In February, 2016, Timothy was promoted to Co-CEO of CoorsTek Inc.
Timothy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Refining from Colorado School of Mines, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Regis University. He and his wife Jennifer reside with their five children in Grand Junction, Colorado.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Before joining CoorsTek, Steve Rask worked as an Assistant Controller with Katy Industries, and a Senior Auditor for Deloitte LLP, Chicago. Steve joined CoorsTek in 2000, as Director of Finance. He was promoted to Vice President of Accounting and Finance in 2001 and to Chief Financial Officer in 2003. Steve also serves on the board of CoorsTek Japan and CoorsTek Korea.
Steve holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University, and is a certified public accountant.
CHIEF LEGAL OFFICER AND SECRETARY
Prior to joining CoorsTek, Dane Bartlett served as Associate General Counsel for Lockheed Martin in both their Paducah, Kentucky and Denver, Colorado offices. Additionally, he served as a Staff Attorney for the Department of Energy in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Dane joined CoorsTek in June 2000 assuming the title of Chief Legal Officer in 2015.
Dane holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Louisville and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Louisville School of Law. He was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in 1991, and to the Colorado Bar in 2000.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Irma Lockridge joined CoorsTek in 2016. Prior to CoorsTek, Irma served as senior vice president of human resources in several businesses including Newell Rubbermaid, Western Union, TeleTech, and Colorado Casualty/Liberty Mutual Insurance. Additionally, she has held several human resources leadership positions with Archstone and Accenture.
Irma holds a Bachelor's degree in Management from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Randel Mercer joined CoorsTek in 1999 and has held a variety of general management, technology, and business development positions before being promoted to Vice President of Global Technology & Market Development in 2014. Prior to joining CoorsTek, Randel served as marketing & product manager at Morgan Technical Ceramics, and several roles at Halma and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
Randel has a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, he has a Master’s degree in Materials from the University of California, San Diego, and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Prior to joining CoorsTek in 2011, Andreas Schneider held various sales, business development, and general manager positions. Most recently, Andreas served as Director of Operations for all European facilities within the Advanced Ceramics Group of Saint-Gobain.
Andreas holds an Engineering Degree (Diplom-Ingenieur) in Material Technology for Ceramics and Glass from the Georg-Simon-Ohm University in Nuremberg, Germany.
REPRESENTATIVE DIRECTOR AND PRESIDENT, COORSTEK JAPAN
Takeo Kasahara began serving CoorsTek Japan in 2016. Prior to joining CoorsTek, Kasahara worked for Toshiba Ceramics co., Ltd. since 1982. He started his career as a salesman for the semiconductor materials and has worked in several semiconductor related roles including advanced ceramics, PV, and new business development. He was promoted to Representative Director in 2011.
REPRESENTATIVE DIRECTOR, CORPORATE EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, COORSTEK JAPAN
Yukihiko Kimura previously worked for Toshiba Ceramics co., Ltd. since 1982. Kimura began his career with legal affairs, and has since served several roles in accounting, human resources, and corporate planning.
He was promoted to Director in 2012 and promoted to Representative Director in 2016.
