Family Overview

CoorsTek synthetic quartz exhibits excellent thermal shock resistance and high operating temperatures in addition to extreme purity. These unique properties allow our quartz to be applied in high corrosion and thermal stress environments.

This material has a long history in optics due to its clarity and stability. More recently, due to the excellent thermal capabilities and high purity, quartz has been used in critical steps in semiconductor production, like single crystal silicon pulling.

Our unique methods allow us to create nearly flawless components used to create large-scale photomask substrates for flat panel display and bubble-free quartz crucibles up to 1m in diameter for pulling single crystal silicon.
